Casa Pôr do Sol is located in the Monte Lemos area of Praia da Luz, a resort village six kilometres west of the historic town of Lagos in the Western Portuguese Algarve. Luz Bay Lagos The Medieval walled town of Lagos sits on a hillside overlooking the harbour, an impressive new marina, and a wide bay of golden sand. It’s picturesque cobbled streets have a superb selection of markets, modern shops, restaurants and pavement cafes. At night, there are street entertainers, lively bars and discos. Those seeking culture can visit the many galleries, museums and ancient monuments. Many people visit the Algarve for golf, and the area around Lagos has several first class courses, including the picturesque Palmares course, Quinta da Boavista, and Parque da Floresta. Praia da Luz This delightful village overlooks a pretty and sheltered bay, which has a very safe sandy beach and amazing rock formations. It is well supplied with restaurants and beach bars, and there are some excellent cliff walks to neighbouring villages. Whilst the number of private villas in Luz has increased over the last few years, they are of a high quality and the facilities of the village have improved because of this. There is a watersports school, and a Scuba Diving Centre.
